Dr Sebastian Kang is a medical oncologist currently practicing in Perth. Having completed his core specialist training in Queensland, he has experience in treating a wide range of tumours. More recently as Clinical Research Fellow at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, he was co-investigator in a number of clinical trials and developed specialist experience in thoracic and gastrointestinal cancers. He takes keen interest in clinical research and has published research articles focusing on health service improvements and rural oncology. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Biostatistics degree with the University of Sydney.
Having worked in regional Queensland, Dr Kang is strongly aligned with the ARC Portal’s mission to advance equitable care for an underserved patient population. He looks forward to collaborating with healthcare specialists, both nationally and internationally, to provide expert opinion for patients with rare cancers.
