Our team

Bryan is a senior Medical Oncologist based at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in Queensland where he is the lead for Thoracic Oncology and research. He is the current Lung Cancer chair of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia and an Associate Professor with Griffith University, the University of the Sunshine Coast and the University of Queensland.  Bryan has always been passionate about quality improvement and health service research, particularly on equity for regional and remote Australians affected by cancer.

In 2022, together with generous patient partners, Bryan helped to establish the Wishlist Rare Cancer Care and Research Fund. This helped to raise awareness, fund genomic testing for those diagnosed with rare cancers and co-funded an ARC portal research fellow, based at the Sunshine Coast. He is proud to be part of the team helping to improve outcomes for people with rare cancers, especially for those from regional or rural areas.
