Instead of relying only on local contacts or fragmented sources of information, clinicians can use the ARC Portal to quickly connect to the right expertise when a case moves beyond familiar territory.
The service is designed to be practical and useful in real clinical settings. The ARC Portal takes complex evidence, specialist opinion, and genomic insight, and turns them into clear, actionable guidance that clinicians can use while always keeping care with the treating team.
If you haven’t previously used the ARC Portal, you need to set up a referrer account via the ARC Portal website.
Then, using your referrer account, you can register your patient and submit their consent to participating in the ARC Portal service.
Next step is to create a new patient referral, with all relevant information as prompted by the ARC Portal system.
Your referral is triaged and reviewed by the ARC Portal team, who are guided by your referral request to provide advice and support that may include clinical advice from our network of national and international experts, identification of research or clinical trial opportunities, and advice on molecular or germ line testing.
The process has been designed to be as simple as possible for referring clinicians, acknowledging that rare cancers are complex and advice needs to be provided as quickly as possible.
